Timescales

Truly Scrumptious Designer Cakes will endeavour to do everything we can to accommodate all orders.

Usually 3-6 months’ notice for wedding cakes and 2-4 weeks for celebration cakes is sufficient, with less notice required during the winter months.

Customer Satisfactions Guarantee

It is our priority to ensure you are happy with your cake. Should you be unhappy with the cake and make us aware of this while still in the shop we will do everything we can to rectify the matter before the event. If you are still unsatisfied then we will consider refunding the price of the cake in return for the product.

Any complaints will be dealt with formally by the Managing Director. The correct process will be taken to ensure the complaint has been investigated thoroughly and a decision will be made once this process has taken place.

Goods

All goods remain the property of Truly Scrumptious Designer Cakes until payment is made in full. Our products and descriptions are accurate at the time of publishing; however there may be very rare occasions where items are out of stock or discontinued. In this case, we reserve the right to replace items with those of similar or higher value. We will endeavour to colour match any ribbons or icing colour to samples provided by the customer however in some cases exact matches are impossible therefore will be matched as near to the sample as possible.

Our photographs are an accurate representation of our cakes however as each cake is a handmade “one off” creation by one of our talented designers, details may vary and colours may not be exactly as shown.

Deposits

Once the order is placed the deposit (£100 for wedding and 50% for celebration cakes) is non-transferable and non-refundable. Where the cake has been paid in full and we have been given 14 days’ notice for celebration cakes and 28 days’ notice for wedding cakes the balance less the deposit will be refunded.

 Check your order

While we take every measure possible to check orders it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details on the order form are accurate. While we will do everything we can to rectify the situation when an error is made, the responsibility lies with the customer to check the details.

We will endeavour to respond within 1 working day. If you don’t receive a reply within that time you must contact 01506 671133 as there is likely to have been a problem with the e-mail address given.

Truly Scrumptious Hand Delivery

Having your cake hand delivered gives us the responsibility for ensuring that your cake arrives in a perfect state and on time. Where any damage does occurs during delivery by us then it is our responsibility to ensure that a replacement is received within the timescales given. If this is not possible, for whatever reason, then a full refund will be given.

Once the cake has left us it is your responsibility to ensure it is transported safely and stored in an appropriate place. Truly Scrumptious Designer Cakes will not accept liability for the cake being damaged or broken.

Collection from Store

As you will appreciate that once the cake leaves our store then we cannot be liable for any damage in transit. Please be aware that a flat surface is required to retain the stability of the cake and should be secured where possible to remove the risk of movement in transit.

If you are unsure ask a member of staff before leaving the store.

Best before Dates

When preparing some cakes, especially larger ones, the cakes need to be in prep for two sometimes three days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the cake is as fresh as possible for the event the best before dates are usually within four days of the event.

To assist in prolonging the shelf life the cakes are best placed in a sealed container (this will damage a sugarpaste finish) in the fridge. We do not accept liability for consumption from four days following the event.
